About 80 parliamentarians belonging to the New Patriotic Party want the Finance Minister, Ken Ofori Atta sacked.
The MPs on Tuesday held a press conference demanding the President to relieve him of his duties.
They also want Minister of State in charge of Finance at the Office of the President, Chares Adu Boahen sacked.
The press conference which was addressed by MP for Asante Akyem North, Andy Appiah-Kubi said the the decision has been communicated to the president but to no avail.
The majority caucus have threatened not to participate in parliamentary affairs and will not be present for the budget hearing.
“Notice is hereby served that until such persons as aforementioned are made to resign or removed from office, we members of the Majority caucus here in parliament will not participate in any business of government by or for the President [or] by any other minister. If our request is not responded to positively, we will not be present for the budget hearing, neither will we participate in the debate” the MP said.
This comes at a time where the Ministry is looking to seek for an IMF bailout.
