Man Utd Struggles! The pains of United fans

I have tried as much as possible to refrain from writing any piece about the shambles my team, Manchester United is in right but no more!

Myself, and I know pretty much other fans fell in love with Man Utd because of the sweet attacking football, honors upon honors and the overall spirit the had.

Unfortunately, the past decade since the retirement of Sir Alex Ferguson has nothing short of pain, agony watching our darling club on and off the pitch.

The rot in the team has gone past the playing and technical bodies as of now.

From the appointment of David Moyes to his sacking to trying to rejuvenise the success of the team with the appointment of Louis Van Gaal.

The appointment of Jose Mourinho after LvG’s struggle for the sake of trophies and then switching over to legend, Ole Gunnar Solksjaer to try and restore the culture of the club.

This process has been nothing short of a silly rollercoaster ride for every United fan.

From the joy of winning an FA Cup in the last moments of Van Gaal, and then to winning it all with Jose Mourinho (of course without the Premier League), and then jubilating for reaching semis and finals under Ole.

What shambles have this team gotten itself into! How has our club found itself in such a deep valley?

The appointment of Ralf Ragnick after the sacking of Ole Gunnar came with much optimism considering his pedigree in football.

He had played instrumental roles in German football and had contributed enormously in the careers of top coaches in the world now.

To name a few, Jurgen Klopp, Thomas Tuchel, Julian Naggelsmann and co have all passed through the tough hands of Ralf.

However, results under him have gone from bad to worse! Every single matchweek has turned into a nightmare for every United fan,

I don’t have that time to dig in for statistics or whatever to prove how low we have been in the past few weeks.

This is what I think

The appointment of Erik Ten Haag is such a smart move but is not a guarantee to us regaining our pedigree back.

Without the proper structures being implemented and being allowed an ample time to reset the whole team, we will go nowhere.

I would want to see what ETH can do by starting from this summer.

Players like Paul Pogba (already gone), Nemanja Matic (already gone), Juan Mata, Jesse Lingard, Marcus Rashford, Edinson Cavani, Eric Bailly would have tp be moved on immediately.

I would also like to see a blend of some youngsters like Hannibal Mejbri, Alejandro Garnacho, Brandon Williams, James Garner come in with significant signings to cushion up the team.

Time and I repeat Time is of the the essence for our team at the moment.

I don’t expect any major trophies or successes in the next two, three years.

I expect to see the development of a proper style of attacking football, development of a fighting spirit and the development of a core team.

Just as Rangnick indicated in his press conference ahead of today’s game, United is 6-7 years behind Man City and Liverpool.

We will need to tactically work things out both on and off the pitch.

I still believe my great Man United will be back again, the culture reset starts right this summer.

We shall get there!
