I was paid GHS50 as monthly salary in Ghana – Kwadwo Poku Mahala

Kumasi Asante Kotoko and King Faisal legend, Kwadwo Poku, has revealed the shocking salary he received as a footballer in Ghana.

The skillful footballer in an exclusive chat with Zionfelix mentioned that at the peak of his career in the Ghana Premier League, he was paid GHS50.00 per month.

The former player for the Porcupine Warriors began his career at Corners Babies at Kumasi Asem before being integrated into the U20 of Kotoko.

Shortly after joining the U20s, he got his first call up to the senior team in the Caf Champions League return leg against Egypt’s Ghazl El Mahalla.

Despite his fame and popularity in the league, the goal poacher and creator was also paid GHS25.00 as winning bonus.

Kwadwo Poku Mahala currently lives in Denmark in the Europe.
