I don’t think ‘football age’ is real – Black Stars legend Razak Pimpong

Black Stars legend Razak Pimpong has denied the existence of ‘football age’ in African football.

‘Football Age’ in African football terms means a ‘fake’ age professional football players adopt in order to look much younger.

Many people believe this is to earn themselves contracts and cheat their way through youth football.

However, speaking to Zionfelix TV, the 40-year-old denied such claims and insisted he played football with his real age.

The former FC Copenhagen star rose through the ranks of Ghanaian football, featuring for the U-17 and U-20 national teams before making his way to the senior team.

Razak Pimpong was also a member of Black Stars’ maiden World Cup squad in Germany.

He featured 19 times for the Black Stars and scored 10 goals.
