Group Calls For An Independent Probe Into the 2019 AFCON Budget
The Center for sports advocacy received with great shock the news of Ghana Blackstars AFCON budget(4.5 million USD).
First of all, we must note that for the first time in history since 2008 Ghana couldn’t reach the Semi-Finals, Ghana exited right after winning only one match in the group stages. Something we the Sports Enthusiasts of this Country are still trying hard to digest.
CSA is very disappointed in the Sports Minister Hon. Isaac Asiamah as he raised our hopes in stopping most of these scandals that happen any time Ghana go for an international Tournament (Brazil Scandal, Maputo Scandal, Australia visa Scandal, etc).
This very shambolic scandal has come to add to the list of scandals that have hit our country and can be named as the greatest of all times.
The Center For Sports Advocacy doesn’t understand how Ghana can spend 4.5 million USD for AFCON in this Crucial time of our Football and Sports at large.
CSA on this note is calling for an independent probe into the 2019 AFCON budget.
