Stonebwoy and Shatta Wale Invited By Police Over Brawl At VGMA

Dancehall artistes, Livingstone Etse Satekla popularly known as Stonebwoy and Charles Nii Armah Mensah Jnr, also referred to as Shatta Wale have been invited by the Greater Accra Regional Police Command following yesterday’s clash at the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards.
The beauty of the 20th edition of arguably Ghana’s biggest music event was marred after reported clash between the camp of Stonebwoy and Shatta Wale after the former was declared Reggae/Dancehall Artiste of the Year. After Abeiku Santana had announced the winner, Stonebwoy climbed onto the stage to receive the plaque only to be followed by the self-acclaimed Dancehall King.
This resulted in brawl between the two camps which led Stonebwoy to pull out a gun. Even though shots were not fired by him, many people it was risky for the Stonegod to possess such weapon at the gathering. News reaching us indicates that the duo have been invited to the headquarters of the Ghana Police Service as investigations continue into the matter.
However, the event still continued after Samini displayed an unforgettable performance to calm nerves down at the Dome. But the winners for the Vodafone Song of the Year and the Artiste of the Year were not revealed due to security reasons as mentioned by host, Kwame Sefa Kayi.
