The growing concern of insecurity on the University of Ghana campus have been an issue of concern to the students of Ghana’s premier university.
Following the recent gruesome attack on a level 400 Psychology student on the Pent-TF road, a host of Ghanaians, students and even celebrities in the country have raised their voices against the lack of proper security on campus. The latest celebrity to add his voice on their issue is BBnZ rapper, Kojo Cue who has labelled comments made by Head of Security on the University of Ghana as stupid.
According to the head of security, Mr. George Amofa on Radio Univers’ morning show, Campus Exclusive:
The children (students) lack how to handle robbers on campus. The students lack security attitude because they can find someone to shift the blame on.
This comment has not gone down well with a section of students and the public with some ridiculing his statement. Kojo Cue who is known for his influence and activeness on social media especially twitter at noon tweeted that the comments from the Head of Security is nonsense and out of ignorance.
According to the rapper, the security on campus is not doing their work properly which is why students are facing such problems on campus.
There’s no sense in what you’re saying… if you and yours did what you are paid to do, the children won’t need to have ‘security attitude’ whatever that means… if your pay delays will you say that you have ‘how to survive without pay attitude’ so you can’t complain?
Other concerned individuals have also shared their concerns on twitter concerning this issue.
