‘Award Schemes Are Messing Up The Industry’ – Article Wan
The bruohaha that has been following the 2nd edition of the 3 Music Awards continues to heighten as more and more industry players keep bashing the event.
The latest individual to accuse and blast the awards is Afrobeats artiste, Article Wan who has alleged that these awards schemes are messing up the music industry. According to the ‘Nyege’ hitmaker who was speaking to Zionfelix on Radio Univers’ Brunch 2 Lunch, most of the winners on the night were not deserving winners. He further stated that he as a nominee was not even given an invitation to the program. He continued that it is a disgrace for a song like ‘That Thing’ which he featured Patapaa failed to win an award.
I don’t know what to say right now but i think these people are messing up the industry. That is why I don’t follow this industry, I have my own industry where I do my own things and I don’t know why awards should be given to people who do not deserve to win.
Answering a question on whether he campaigned for his fans and followers to vote for him or not, Article Wan mentioned that he put things out there for his fans to vote but still believes these things can be manipulated by individuals.
