Sarkodie Finally Reveals Why He Advised Shatta Wale

Months after he released The Advise track, Sarkodie has finally revealed why he decided to respond to Shatta Wale.

Sarkodie released ‘My Advise’ on the 10th September, 2018 with some heavy punches going to his very good friend, Shatta Wale. Prior to the release of this song, Shatta had on numerous occasions thrown shots at Africa’s most decorated artiste. He began by alleging on Daybreak Hitz with Andy Dosty that he would charge Sarkodie henceforth If he presents any song to him for a feature. This he said was because of Sark’s failure to heed to his numerous advise.

Secondly, he alleged on a Facebook live video that most of the artistes in Ghana are poor. THis stated categorically that Sarkodie was not an exception. These allegations and constant mentions became too much for Sark to bear after which he subsequently led to him releasing the 3-minute diss track.

Speaking on Starr FM Tuesday afternoon as part of his radio tour for the Rapperholic Concert 18′, Sarkodie revealed that he had to address Shatta Wale because he was his close friend. This he said irked him because he expected Shatta to come straight to him as he does rather than using that route.

I can choose to ignore a lot of things when they are not close to me. So If I find an artiste who is not close to me saying those things to me, I would ignore.

But if its a friend that you speak with, and he keeps on saying things (diss) back to back in the name of showbiz, I get into showbiz but definitely we still have friendship to keep.

As much as I would want to keep it showbiz, I would call you personally and tell you my mind.

Sarkodie is set to host another edition of his annual Rapperholic concert on the 25th December at the Accra International Conference Centre.
