‘Some Ghanaian Journalists Don’t Ask Deeper Questions’ – Wiyaala Noella

Ghanaian Afro pop singer, Wiyaala Noella, has advised Ghanaian journalists to ask deeper and sensible questions to help unearth the true personality of the artists rather than concentrating on useless and irrelevant questions.

Ghanaian celebrities turning down interviews has become the order of the day as most stars choose to grant interviews to some media houses and turning down others. But responding to these issues at the recently held ATWAG Master Class held at the Accra Tourist Information Center, the international music sensation revealed that some musicians or celebrities turn down interviews from some media personalities because of the nature of their questions.

I recently had an interview with a media house and the only question they could ask me was about my sex life, why I was sitting on Patapaa’s laps. They further asked me to criticize AFRIMMA of which i thought was irrelevant because they could have asked deeper questions to really bring out something unique in me.

Wiyaala Noella and her manager, Mr. John Sherren were the principal speakers at a Master class organized by the Executive body of Arts and Tourism Writers Association of Ghana on Thursday, December 6, 2018 at the Accra Tourist Information Center.
