‘Bloggers Are Our Second gods’ – Wiyaala Hails Ghanaian Bloggers

Ghanaian songstress, Noella Wiyaala has hailed Ghanaian bloggers, labelling them as ‘second god’.

The Ghanaian Afro pop songstress and song writer made these claims at a Master Class organized by the Executive Body of the Arts and Tourism Writers Association of Ghana(ATWAG). Speaking on the theme; “The Arts Writer and Artiste Relations In The New Media Era”, the Lioness of Africa hailed the influence bloggers have in their showbiz career.

She mentioned that even though the bloggers need contents from them(Artistes), she did not hesitate she spill out the truth by applauding bloggers and journalists. The 31-year-old proud Sisaala lady further revealed that there might sometimes be frictions between the artistes and bloggers in the line of work, she in particular can and will never undermine the work of any creative arts writer or blogger.

Noella Wiyaala was born in Wa, Upper West Region as one of four sisters and grew up in Funsi and Tumu. She got first singing lessons from her mother, a choir singer in the local church, and she has performed ever since she was 5 years old. Her surname, which she picked for a stage name, means “the doer” in her native Sisaala language. During her late teenage years, she played football as a midfielder. She attended Kansec Secondary School and later Kanton Secondary High in Tumu, where she acquired a reputation for being a tom-boy, playing football and was in demand as a dancer and entertainer in school productions. She also attended Takoradi Polytechnic on an art and design course.
