Multiple award-winning Ghanaian dancehall act, Shatta Wale has said Ghana music can rule the world just as ‘certain great nations decided to rule the world’.
The self-acclaimed ‘dancehall king’ made this assertion in a series of tweets on Wednesday morning. According to him, If Ghanaian artistes would be smart enough to adopt his ‘Yekoom Agenda In Showbiz’ which he says is to stop exposing our brands to other industries and working together as a united front, Ghana music would surely get to that level.
He also pleaded with Ghanaians to stop pushing young acts towards awards schemes which he thinks put too much burden on them. The 2014 VGMA Artiste of the Year further pleaded with Ghanaian media to join hands with the artists by refraining from negative publications.
The use of feelings to promote brands was also one thing the ‘Gringo’ hitmaker added to his piece of #Advice to his colleagues in twitter rants.
ALL THIS I AM SAYING CAN NOT BE ACCOMPLISHED BY ONE MAN BUT WITH ONE MIND OF ONE MAN MANY CAN HAVE THAT SALVATION AND PEACEFUL SET OF MIND TO WORK. SOCIAL MEDIA YES! BUT WITH CAUTION WE CAN RULE THE WORLD LIKE HOW CERTAIN GREAT NATIONS DECIDED TO RULE THE WORLD. WE CAN!!! GHMUSIC – He ended
