Why Kwesi Arthur Never Got To Realize His Legon Dream Revealed.

Obviously one of the dreams of every SHS graduate in the country is to gain admission to the premier University of Ghana, Legon but not everyone gets that opportunity and one of such people is Hip Hop star, Kwesi Arthur.

After completing TEMASCO in 2013, young Kwesi Arthur had a dream of reading Psychology in Ghana’s first university and further it by reading Law after. Unfortunately, this dream never came to fruition as he never had the chance to see his WASSCE results due to debts. Kwesi Arthur speaking to Delay on the Delay Show mentioned that he owed an amount of school fees and due to that, he never got to see his certificate.

He therefore could not apply to study at the university and hence decided to resort to music as an escape route. He first offered to be cleaner at a studio nearby in exchange for tutorial on how to record music. According to him, that was how his music journey began.

Kwesi Arthur shot to fame in 2017 after one of the songs on his maiden EP, Grind Day became a hit in Ghana and beyond. Grind day landed him a BET nomination with the version of the song winning the Hip Hop song of the Year at the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards.
