Chelsea Defender Marcos Alonso Signs New deal
Chelsea left back, Marcos Alonso has signed a new 5 year deal with the London-based club. The deal was confirmed via Chelsea’s official twitter handle Wednesday morning.
Alonso started his career with Real Madrid, but went on to make his name with Bolton Wanderers in England and later with Fiorentina in Italy. He joined Chelsea in 2016 from Fiorentina under then boss, Antonio Conte for a fee around 24 million pounds. he has then gone on to make 92 appearances finding the back of the net on 15 occassions making 11 assists.
The 27-year-old after putting pen to paper said, ” I am so happy to stay here longer and to keep playing for one of the best teams in the world. It’s been a very good two seasons and I am looking forward to more”
He made his debut for the club in a 4-2 League Cup win away at Leicester City.
