The Normalization Committee of Ghana Football has denied reports of a scheduled friendly with Premier League giants, Asante Kotoko if their AFCON qualifier against Sierra Leone is cancelled.
The Sierra Leonean Football Association was banned by the Federation of International Football Association(FIFA) after the government intervened to oust FA President, Isha Johansen.
They were widespread reports in the media that The Black Stars of Ghana would turn to the Porcupine Warriors to play a friendly in the said match does not materialize.
But speaking exclusively to Oyerepa FM, the spokesperson of the committee revealed that the said reports were false.
“As of now, there has not been any arrangement of such nature to play Asante Kotoko” – he said.
He further continued that, “Should Sierra Leone fail to come for the match, the players will return to their base and we will write to FIFA/CAF to claim reimbursement of monies spent on the players”.
